I like to think of myself as pretty low-maintenance these days. More and more, I’ve been embracing my makeup-free skin—and honestly, I’m loving it. That said, when I do wear makeup, I prefer to keep things simple, using my tried-and-true favorites. I’ve always been the kind of person who enjoys trying new products, and while I’m particular about what I like, once I find something that works for me, I stay loyal to a fault. So, with that in mind, here’s a rundown of the everyday makeup essentials I keep buying, because when something is good, why stray?

My Everyday Makeup Essentials
I’ve been using this tinted gel moisturizer in place of traditional foundation for over 5 years now and it would take a miracle to get me to swap for anything else. It’s supple, hydrating, and gives me just enough coverage to even and brighten my complexion, without covering my freckles. If you want something light and dewy and actively moisturizes your skin, you cannot go wrong with this. Oh, and this brush is a must for application.
Don’t forget the primer! One pea-sized drop of this goes a long way and keeps my makeup lasting perfectly till bedtime. They have several types, but this hydrate and glow one is my favorite for my dry skin.
Unfortunately, I’m not 19 anymore as seen by my dark under eyes. I’ve tried several different concealers, but I love this one the most! The coverage is great, there are many shades to choose from, and I’m not at all mad about that price.
I didn’t want to love this Merit brand because it’s so hyped, but I actually love it. I’ve tried other cream bronzers and blush that feel heavy and sticky on my face, but this leaves my skin feeling fresh. Plus it glides on so smoothly and blends super well. The hype is real.
My favorite thing about this blush is how pigmented it is. A little bit goes a long way so it lasts forever, plus you can even put it on your lips for some color.
Luminizer is the cherry on top. A little dab on the cheek bones and tip of the nose and I’m looking like a 16 year-old with flawless, glowy skin.
If there was one product I absolutely could not live without, it would be this. I know it’s a “sleeping” mask, but I wear it night and day. I swear, I drink plenty of water, but my skin and lips are just prone to dryness, but this is my lifesaver. My daughters are just as obsessed too and they steal it from me constantly. Whenever I run out, they beg me to get more!
I have tried so hard to love other mascaras since there’s no way the one I’ve been using since 2010 is still the best… but it is. Every other mascara seems to smudge and flake off mid-day, but not this one.
Okay, I don’t love the price on these palettes, but the good news is that it will last you years. I realize that’s slightly gross, but I stand by it. It has all my favorite shades and unlike other eyeshadows, I’ve never opened this up to find crushed makeup, which is a miracle.
The very first time I tried this eyebrow pencil I was shocked at how easily it drew perfectly thin hair strokes that matched the warm chestnut color of my hair. When I ran out and went back for more, I opted to try this kit including the pencil, a tinted volumizing gel, and setting gel and now my brows are full, and bushy, and exactly how I like them.
